Inclusive Sustainable Development in Asia & Beyond
ABOUT
© Brennan, Vital Voices
I was born and raised in Italy, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in International and Diplomatic Sciences (Trieste University) and an MBA in SME Management and Administration (IULM University). Fascinated by Asia since a young age, I pursued a Master’s Degree in Asian Studies in Sweden (Lund University), following which I moved to the People’s Republic of China where I started my career in international development and cooperation. I lived about seven years in the Middle Kingdom and was based for shorter stints in Japan, Bhutan and Myanmar.
In the course of my professional and volunteering career, I have been managing and supporting projects across all of South, Southeast and East Asia. The only Asian countries I have not yet been able to set foot on, due to security reasons, are Afghanistan and Pakistan - hopefully this will change soon. ( And yes, I did make it to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea). Since 2018 I have been increasingly working with Central Asia, too.
While focusing on Asia, I have also been working with projects in the MENA Region, the Pacific and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Besides my native Italian, I am fluent in English and French with a good command of Chinese, German and Spanish.
I am currently based in Italy, in the vicinity of Venice, and travel regularly to project sites.
